Skin
In the growing skin care industry, the number of options can often leave you with more questions than answers. We’ve provided this summary page to help educate and empower you to begin to improve your skin.
BOTOX®
As we get older, wrinkles begin to line our once-smooth face. The natural, physical display of our emotions, such as laughter and frowns, leave their stamp around our lips and dyes. The injection of Botulinum Toxin (BOTOX®) can fill in various facial furrows caused over time by natural muscle movement. Click here for more information.
Restylane/Juvederm
Are your cheeks sagging? Do you have deep frown lines or crow’s feet? These can be annoying and unattractive, but fortunately, they can be remedied. Injections of Restylane or Juvederm—a filler made from hyaluronic acid, which is found naturally in our bodies—can help restore a healthy, youthful appearance by filling in wrinkles and plumping up thinning or sagging facial areas. It is also used to give more definition to the lip border. Click here for more information.
Radiesse
Radiesse® dermal filler is made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, and is injected into the skin through a simple and minimally invasive procedure. RADIESSE dermal filler is the ideal choice for total facial contouring. It can restore a healthy, youthful appearance, enhance your existing features, help you defy age and gravity, and increase your confidence – all without invasive surgery or scarring. Sculptra
Sculptra is a unique treatment for addressing facial wrinkles and folds. This product consists of a biocompatible, biodegradable synthetic material made from poly-L-Lactic acid which has been used by surgeons for decades. It is not a traditional filler. Sculptra provides gradual, softer rejuvenation by stimulating your own collagen. Click here for more information.
Artefill
Artefill is a non-resorbable injectable dermal filler for the correction of wrinkles and lines on the face. Artefill is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for correctıng smile lines (nasolabial folds) but it is sometimes used to fill lines, wrinkles or contour defects in other areas. It is a formulation of medical grade polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) microspheres and bovine collagen along with lidocaine and buffers. The PMMA microspheres in Artefill are not absorbed by the body and therefore provide permanent support for wrinkle correction.
Dermabrasion
If you’re looking to smooth out fine facial wrinkles or improve the look of scars left from an accident or previous surgery, then dermabrasion will help “refinish” the skin’s top layers. Click here for more information.
Ulthera
Ultherapy, a nonsurgical skin firming procedure, uses radiofrequency under direct visualization to heat the tissues underneath the skin. This cutting edge technology provides uplifted tissues by gradually stimulating elastiin and collagen to lift and firm the tissues. Results may be immediate but gradual improvement is seen over three to six months. This treatment required no downtime allowing patients to be treated in one to two hours.
Intense Pulse Light (IPL)
Intense pulsed light (IPL), is a technology aimed at producing light of high intensity during a very short period of time. IPL technology is also employed in the treatment of medical disorders of the skin including discoloration or brown spots, vascular issues such as broken capillaries on the face, and Rosacea. IPL’s (Intense Pulsed Light) work more directly on the top layers of the skin.
CO2 Skin Resurfacing
CO2 laser skin resurfacing treats the outer layer of the skin. This “fractionated” treatment is nonablative which treats the skin in a pattern that appears like small “dots” which treat the skin leaving the surrounding skin intact. The treated skin will have smaller pore size and a smoother, tighter texture. Pigmentation problems will begin to diminish as well. For more information, click here.
Laser Hair Removal
Still shaving? Tired of dealing with unwanted body hair? Dr. Moore and his team use the LightSheer™ Diode Laser to remove hair from target areas such as the face, upper lip, neck, chest, breasts, underarms, back, abdomen, bikini line and legs. It is the most advanced medical treatment for permanent hair reduction. Click here for more information.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
In laser skin resurfacing, a laser is used to remove areas of damaged or wrinkled skin, layer by layer. The procedure is most commonly used to minimize the appearance of fine lines, especially around the mouth and eyes. However, it is also effective in treating facial scars or areas of uneven pigmentation. Click here for more information.
Spider Vein Treatment
Using a simple procedure called sclerotherapy we can remove spider veins and small varicose veins by injecting the vein with sclerosing solution. This causes the veins to collapse and fade from view. Results can be seen in as little as a few weeks. The procedure may also remedy the bothersome symptoms associated with spider veins, including aching, burning, swelling and night cramps.
